I’m really happy that we’ve begun rehearsing the Santa Fe Flutes again live and in person.
There were ten of us there last week under the brilliant leadership of Melissa Colgin Abeln.
She has chosen works by Mozart, Monteverdi and Britten arranged by our very own Mark Cleveland (bass flute and arranger extraordinaire). Our first performance this season was in the spacious atrium at the Presbyterian Hospital where we played holiday favorites for the employees and guests. My favorite holiday Flute choir piece was the French Nativity Suite, arranged by Kelly Via. Piccolo duets rock!
